SPUNBONDED & MELTBLOWN NONWOVEN PLANTS

STP IMPIANTI spunbonded system is one of the most economic process for producing nonwoven fabrics and it's successfully suitable to produce Polypropylene, Polyester and Polyamide nonwovens.

PROCESS DESCRIPTION

The polymer, master-batch / additives (or pellets) are loaded into the dosing system by a suitable suction pump and then feeding the main extruder.

The raw material supplied into the extruder become melted and intimately homogenized by static mixer and transferred to the spinning beam.

Electric resistances heat the transfer pipe and the spinning beam as well. The melt uniformly distributed into the spinning beam to the spinning pumps by feeding the spinnerets with a suitable number of filaments.

The filaments produced by the spinnerets are solidified by a controlled stream air flow in a conditioned spinning chamber, where transferred through a draw system.

Draw system consist of a certain number of jets, operated by compressed air at low pressure, that provide to stretch the filaments and then route them into an expansion block.

By using the STP distribution system, the filaments are separated and deposited with high uniformity as random web on a moving sieve belt.

Suction blowers keep the web-forming unit under negative pressure. The fabric weight can be adjusted by varying the speed of the conveyor belt. The fabric is then fed to a thermobonding calender for the final product properties set. After bonding the product go to a non-stop winding unit, where it is wound-up in rolls.

The Rolls, then, can be slitted into smaller rolls of desired size and width; slitting and winding phases can be made off line.
